What Muster does
Everything an IC needs.
Nothing they don't.
Designed for the incident commander on a tablet, the safety officer on a phone, and the check-in officer at the staging area — all in sync, no IT required.
Personnel Accountability (PAR)
Real-time roster of every firefighter on scene. Check-in and check-out, assignment tracking, PAR reports on demand. Know who is inside at all times.
Mayday & Evacuation
One-touch Mayday declaration from any device. Non-silenceable evacuation alerts on all mesh devices. Safety Officer can order evacuation in imminent danger — no IC approval required.
Safety Officer Workflow
First-class Safety Officer role. Flag hazards, raise safety concerns, call Emergency Traffic, document exposures. Distinct authority from the IC where NFPA requires it.
Rehab & Medical
NFPA 1580 Ch. 22 rehab cycles with vitals capture. Medical hold workflow. Rehab Officer phone role. Privacy-controlled — vitals are never visible to crew members.
After-Action Reports
Every incident produces a signed archive and PDF report — PAR log, personnel roster, safety events, exposures, benchmarks. The authoritative legal record, not just a printout.
Whiteboard & Command
Live incident whiteboard for the IC. Division assignments, unit tracking, building structure overlay. Command transfer, Unified Command, and mutual aid support built in.
The technology
No internet required.
Devices find each other.
Muster uses peer-to-peer mesh networking — mDNS discovery over the local network and encrypted WebSocket sync between devices. The IC's iPad, the Safety Officer's phone, and the Check-in Officer's tablet all stay in sync without a router or cell signal.
Cloud sync via Firebase is available for departments with connectivity and is used for remote cross-device sync and long-term record keeping. But it is never required for any operational or safety feature. The mesh works on any local WiFi, hotspot, or direct device-to-device network.
When internet is available, Tier 2+ departments get cloud-archived records, the firefighter portal, and cross-incident exposure history. When it isn't — which is often on the fireground — everything still works.
Pricing
Straightforward. No surprises.
Safety features for everyone.
One price per department per year. No per-seat fees for Tier 1. No hidden costs. And core safety features — Mayday, evacuation, PAR, exposure capture — work at every tier, including the free Emergency pass.
